The Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) is a prestigious international event dedicated to showcasing luxurious yachts. It all began in 1991, and it usually takes place over four days in late September at the beautiful Port Hercule in Monaco.

The most recent edition was the 32nd installment of this yearly gathering, happening from September 27th to 30th, 2023, in Port Hercule, Monaco. This time around, the show put a strong focus on eco-friendly ideas and sustainability in the yachting industry.

Economic Impact

The show made a substantial economic contribution to the local community, driven by the arrival of affluent individuals and industry experts. Additionally, the event displayed an impressive array of luxury yachts and maritime products, valued in the billions of euros. The Monaco Yacht Show 2023 drew approximately 30,000 visitors from across the globe, including numerous celebrities, billionaires, and royalty. It also played a pivotal role in bolstering Monaco's economy, injecting approximately €68 million in direct expenditure.

The Monaco Yacht Show 2023 showcased an impressive fleet of over 120 superyachts, featuring highly anticipated 2023 launches and a variety of tenders and water toys. The collective value of these yachts was nothing short of astounding, easily surpassing several billion Euros. In fact, the estimated total value of all the yachts on display at the Monaco Yacht Show 2023 amounted to approximately $4.3 billion, firmly establishing it as one of the most financially significant boat shows on a global scale.

Exhibitors

The event played host to over 500 exhibiting companies, encompassing a stellar lineup of global leaders in the yachting and luxury service sectors. Additionally, the show offered a luxurious 'Car Deck' that showcased a stunning array of classic and custom vehicles, an exciting 'Adventure Area' teeming with off-road machines, nautical innovations, and exhilarating activities. Lastly, the 'Monaco Yacht Summit' provided a platform for industry experts and professionals to engage in enlightening panel discussions.

Global Recognition

The Monaco Yacht Show holds a distinguished reputation as one of the world's most prestigious yacht exhibitions, setting the benchmark for others in the industry to follow.

This year's show shone a spotlight on some of the globe's most iconic superyacht brands, featuring renowned names like Feadship, Lürssen, Heesen, Benetti, Azimut, Mangusta, Mazu Yachts and more. Among the impressive superyachts on exhibit, Feadship's Dunes stood out for its innovative design aimed at reducing energy consumption through wind and solar energy integration. Lürssen's Phoenix 2, which had just changed ownership right before the show, left a lasting impression. Noteworthy vessels also included Tecnomar's sleek 142-foot powercat 'This Is It,' and Arcadia Yachts' A96, which ranked among the most striking vessels showcased at the event.

Some of our favorite standout superyachts were Lürssen's 97.2m CARINTHIA VII, Feadship's 83.5m SAVANNAH, and Admiral Yacht's 75.18m KENSHO.
