 About Gemma Heyns

Gemma grew up in South Africa’s beautiful, rural KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, her life trajectory has been dictated by her love for travel.

“Travel has always been more than seeing beautiful places – it’s a feeling, it’s learning from different cultures, tasting new cuisines, discovering one’s self. That’s what really keeps you coming back for more.”

Gemma worked as a Chief Stewardess in the yachting industry, a perfect platform to fulfil her hunger to explore the world, its cultures and experience the physical and emotional journeys that traveling would set out for her. Her yachting history combined with her experience in African travel evoked a need to create unique once in a lifetime adventures, plan unforgettable celebrations and orchestrate romantic forevers, with an overarching focus on the complete bliss of her guests.

Having backpacked through South America, hiked to the depths of the Grand Canyon, scuba dived in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean ocean, eaten at the finest Mediterranean restaurants, enjoyed the freshest Ceylon tea in Sri Lanka, warmed her soul with a shot of whiskey in an Icelandic glacier and over-landed up stretches of both African coastlines. Gemma has succeeded in her quest to experience and learn from the world.
