FOUNDER
Hey there! I worked on a number of prestigious vessels during my career. I was offered a chief stew role very early on but when it came to the purser role I had classic imposter syndrome!
I was lucky enough to have an amazing mentor, who now also happens to be my business partner in Virtual Pursers, who helped me achieve my goal. I wouldn’t be where I am today without her and only wish to pass that fortune forward. As capable as one may be, a mentor, guidance and support is imperative to success. Even now, as a business owner, I rely on consistent training, a mentor and support from a professional community.
My mission is to inspire you and give you the tools you need to create the future we both know is possible.

Hi gorgeous! I am an ex-yachtie, teacher, mentor, coach and mom. My superpower is finding your superpower!
After working onboard 35-90m yachts for over ten years as a purser and chief stew, I have seen a thing or two. My biggest struggle was that I wanted to become a purser, but I didn't have a clear career path or a mentor and coach who could show me the way. It took me years to figure it out on my own, and when I did eventually become a purser, I battled to create a structure on board and was spending hours creating documents from scratch.
I now teach a wildly successful accredited purser course. I have mentored and coached hundreds of yacht crew, just like you, to find better careers and positions.

Hello! I'm Bec! Co-Founder of Virtual Pursers, diving enthusiast, lover of chocolate, rom coms, and a healthy dose of woo. I’ve been on this wild yachting journey for over 15 years, but it hasn’t always been fun, purposeful, or fulfilling in the slightest. In fact, it’s been full of ups and downs—can you relate?
Although on socials life appears to be all spritz’s and exotic beaches; in reality, forging a career in the male-dominated industry is tough. Brutally long hours, away from loved ones, and weekends don’t exist. We’re often exhausted and the cookie cupboard is visited far too often than we’d like to admit (we've all been there!!!).
I believe success comes from commitment, confidence, and a strong growth mindset; all of which is my goal for SIREN Club to instill in you.
How We Got Here
Sandra, Bec and Dom had long and rewarding yachting careers as chief stews and pursers before moving shoreside. We have over 30 years of yachting experience between us; we are yachties just like you!
During our careers, we noticed the lack of ongoing professional training and support for growth-mindset yachties.
What we REALLY wished we had was continuous growth and training, a supportive community where we could exchange resources instead of creating them from scratch, have a sounding board when things weren't going according to plan, or simply have someone on the end of the phone to let us know it would all be ok!
The Yacht Purser and Virtual Pursers have teamed up to create SIREN Club, which is the ONLY way to elevate your skills and find balance in your yachting career.
