After eight years of working onboard various yachts, the idea to launch YACHTNEEDS came to fruition in 2015 from my yachting experience. One common problem we faced while working onboard was the tight schedule to reprovision the yacht and find trusted superyacht suppliers.

I started my yachting journey in 2008 on a 25m Vessel as a deck engineer, progressing through the ranks to become a chief engineer on vessels ranging from 37m to 60m. I spent some time in the local Cape Town yachting scene as a captain of the smaller vessel based out of the V&A waterfront and finally finished my journey on a 65m as a second engineer.
Having worked in most, if not all, of the departments onboard (my wife is a chief Stewardess and owner of a Stewardess training school in Cape town, giving me insight into the interior workings) it gives me the best possible reference point to decide what is the most beneficial product lines onboard and where best to categorise them, include into this any queries or technical questions buyers might ask I can offer real-world relevant answers to any queries, and suggest possible alternatives.
