In the luxurious world of yachting, the atmosphere onboard can make or break the experience for guests and crew alike. At the heart of creating a vibrant and enjoyable environment is the role of the positive energy provider. We had the pleasure of interviewing Edvardo, a seasoned yacht professional known for his infectious positivity and morale-boosting presence. In our conversation, Edvardo shares insights into why being a beacon of positivity is crucial on a yacht, how this mindset has propelled his career, and what it truly means to be the change you want to see in the maritime industry. Join us as we delve into Edvardo’s uplifting approach to yachting and discover how his attitude transforms every voyage into an unforgettable adventure.

Why is it important to be a positive energy provider?

“Being a positive energy provider is like spreading sunshine even when there’s a storm outside or, better yet, being a DJ at the best party on the ocean—your vibe sets the mood! Whether you’re cruising through the crystal-clear waters of the Bahamas or anchored in a swelling bay in the Caribbean, a good attitude is essential to keep the environment pumped and the guests smiling. On a yacht, it’s about creating a vibe that lifts everyone up. It sets the tone for an unforgettable experience, making every journey feel like an amazing vacation. I’ve been able to successfully achieve this by being a positive energy provider.”

How has this mindset helped in your career?

“The power of positivity has turned me into the yacht’s official morale booster. When the guest is bored… call Eddy. This positive mindset has been my secret sauce throughout my career! It has helped me turn ‘Oh no, we ran out of caviar!’ moments into ‘No worries, who’s up for a beach BBQ?’ The power of positivity has kept my career sailing smoothly and helped me stay cool under pressure—“that’s how diamonds are formed.” It has turned potential disasters into legendary stories, especially when juggling last-minute guest requests. Keeping a positive attitude has made every challenge feel like a new adventure. Plus, it’s hard not to enjoy work when you’re practically paid to make people happy and enjoy themselves!”

What does it mean to be the change you want to see?

“On a yacht, “being the change” means setting a high standard for professionalism and sustainability, such as minimizing waste and supporting eco-friendly initiatives. It’s about leading by example, whether helping the chef in the galley, the girls in the laundry, or just saying hi to the yacht family. Being the change means becoming the example, and when executed right, it creates a ripple effect that inspires others to follow suit, contributing to a more harmonious and sustainable maritime industry.”

Edvardo’s positivity and dedication to creating a joyful atmosphere on board show just how much a positive mindset can transform the yachting experience. His knack for turning potential setbacks into fun adventures highlights why a good attitude is key in any job. By leading with positivity and setting high standards for professionalism and sustainability, Edvardo inspires others to follow suit, making the maritime world a more enjoyable place.

As we celebrate people like Edvardo who bring good vibes to their work, it’s clear that a positive attitude can make all the difference. Whether you’re on a yacht or in any other profession, staying upbeat and dedicated to quality can turn any situation into a memorable adventure.
