On the evening of April 19th, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow over Port Vauban, the YACHTNEEDS Captains & Crew Party officially kicked off the 2024 yachting season. This year marked the 5th consecutive celebration hosted by the dynamic YACHTNEEDS marketplace, alongside the scenic Port Vauban, setting the stage for an evening filled with laughter, camaraderie, and unforgettable memories.
From the moment the first note played, there was an electric atmosphere. Guests were dressed up in their most creative circus-themed costumes, ranging from majestic ring leaders to whimsical clowns. This brought a vibrant flair to the evening and embodied the spirit of adventure that defines the yachting community. The best-dressed attendees were not only turning heads, but they were also contenders for a fantastic prize and a chance to be featured in Dockwalk magazine, thanks to our official media partners.
The culinary delights at the event were a feast for the senses. The air was filled with the delicious aroma of sizzling BBQ, freshly prepared pizzas, and mouth-watering paella, all courtesy of local artisans. The on-site bar, Onshore Cellars, made sure that the wine glasses of the guests were never empty, while Distillerie de Monaco provided a taste of the region with their exquisite cocktails and Monaco Spritz. All of this was complemented by the mesmerizing tunes of a DJ and sax duo from GFELTD.
Magic was literally in the air, with performances by the incredible magician, Theo Rozanski, leaving everyone spellbound. This festive gathering was not just a celebration but a testament to the strength and unity of our community. As we danced through the night, the cool, calm Mediterranean breeze served as a perfect backdrop to an event that many will recall as the highlight of their season.
