ABOUT STARBOARD CREW HOUSE
Situated at 6 Inez Road Sea Point, StarBoard Crew accommodation combines luxury Crew living with central convenience in the heart of Sea Point Cape Town.
Not your standard bunk beds in a backpackers, all beds are 3/4 and have their own plug points and shelves per bed. The beds are so large one can stand up completely. Almost a room within a room. This is an intimate and yachting-specific house, so you will be sharing the house with other crew studying to go over to the yachts.
Comfortable beds, renovated bathrooms, an outdoor shower for the adventurous types, fully equipped kitchen (oven, stove, microwave, nespresso machine, toastie machines, fridge) large lounge/TV area, Kitchen/Dining area, outside courtyard with barbeque. We do not cater for crew, it is s self catering house as all courses run at different times. The house is on all major bus routes to Hout Bay, the CBD and the waterfront, it could not be easier to get around!
The house is 300m from the famous sea point promenade, within walking distance to any of the sea point attractions, restaurants, markets, and bars
The house has a full-time housekeeper, is highly protected with ADT security and CCTV cameras throughout the house
Linnen on beds and towels are supplied by us and turned over once a week. We offer laundry services on-site @R100 per 5kg load for personal clothing items.
Just like the Crew houses overseas, there is space for Crew to self-cater (Crew each get space in a fridge and a numbered dry store box) There is a fully equipped kitchen with every appliance one could need.
A 50mbps Uncapped WiFi service will be offered throughout the house and DSTV is up for grabs in the large comfortable lounge.
With all of these wonderful things, comes a certain way of living, StarBoard is trying to get Crew into the way of living on Yachts, so certain expectations of guests are in place, keeping living and guests area tidy, cleaning their dishes (putting them in the dishwasher), respecting fellow crew in terms of noise and conduct. Also respect of water shortages is enforced.
We strongly recommend crew do not bring cars due to parking in the city being limited and the general inconvenience of having to worry about a car with the insane Cape Town parking prices, getting around town is just a R20-R30 uber ride and parking in the area is not recommended, as in any city centre, vehicle break ins do occur.
Due to the COVID-19 Situation at the moment, strict hygiene rules will apply in the house and a Negative COVID19 Test will need to be provided upon check in (this can be a rapid test).
