Bernard Jean Étienne Arnault is chairman and chief executive of French conglomerate Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, commonly known as LVMH. As of August 2023, Arnault is the second-richest person globally, with a net worth of 228.9 billion USD.

Europe knows him as the one who revitalized French couture in 1995. Some of his fashion brands and subsidiaries' products can be found among the rich and famous and include iconic names such as Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Fendi, to name just a few. *See graphic below

Of LVMH’s 75 prestigious brands, Arnault controls around 60 subsidiaries. There are six branches of subsidiaries that are often managed independently: Fashion Group, Wines and Spirits, Perfumes and Cosmetics, Watches and Jewellery, Selective Distribution, and Other Activities. In Other Activities, Arnault's group has invested in the luxury yacht market. In 2008 they acquired the Royal van Lent Shipyard, sold under the Feadship brand, and purchased a 75% stake in Princess Yachts.
